Regency Management Group, Inc. was formed as an independent company in 2005 by the principals of Woodman Development Company for the express purpose of providing a focused application of quality management services to the local real estate market. It was our observation that there was a distinct shortage of local property managers specializing in the management of homeowners associations. Regency Management Group was established to fill that need in the local community.
Carolyn Donaway is the General Manager, CFO, and a shareholder of Regency Management Group, Inc. Ms. Donaway is also a Certified Community Association Manager (CCAM).
Carolyn Donaway was born and raised in West Texas and attended the University of Texas at the Permian Basin with an educational emphasis on business and accounting.
In 1986, she relocated to Aspen, Colorado where she became interested in real estate and property management. She began her career as Controller for the largest property management company in Aspen with over 400 units, including condominiums, homes, and commercial properties. Her responsibilities also extended to the financial management of several homeowners associations.
After ten years as Controller, Carolyn was promoted to the position of General Manager. This promotion expanded her role to include the management of all staff in the accounting, reservations, front desk, housekeeping and maintenance departments. She oversaw all aspects of service to maintain the quality level required for these high-end luxury properties.
After 17 years in Aspen, she moved to Carmel, where she is the resident manager for the Viejo Carmel Condominium Complex. In 2003, she joined Woodman Development Company Inc. as their Controller. In this capacity she has managed the financial aspect of numerous companies and partnerships.
In 2005, Regency Management Group was formed to offer superior management services for the projects developed by Woodman Development Company Inc and to other Monterey County properties. Carolyn's background in property management made for a natural transition to the newly formed company and earned her an ownership position with the company
