In 2006, Paramark was formed through the merger of two well-established real estate service companies: Paragon Property Management and Lanmark Property Advisors. The merged company selected the name "Paramark" to reflect and retain the strengths, reputation and legacies of both Paragon and Lanmark.

Paragon Property Management Corp. was founded in 1971 under the name Weis Management Company and provided Property Management services for residential assets throughout Minnesota, Iowa and Wisconsin. In 2005, the company changed its name to Paragon Property Management.

Founded in 1993, Lanmark Property Advisors provided Property Management, Brokerage and Development services for residential and commercial assets. In addition, Lanmark provided Facility Services and Building Maintenance to properties both within their managed portfolio, as well as to standalone Facility Services clients.
