To refinance or not to refinance, that is the question. If you have a fixed rate mortgage then it’s easy to tell if the current purchase rates are better than they where when you locked in to your loan. If you have an adjustable rate mortgage or ARM, then you’re rate is changing and probably on the rise, but it’s a good idea to check with a financial planner to see what their take on the future trends is. The reverse home mortgage is a home equity loan available to seniors as a means of obtaining income from their homes. In positive situations, it can be a way for an older person to stay in his or her home despite a loss of income caused by retirement. It can even be used to invest in the home, create a profit, pay off additional rental property mortgages and establish financial security.
